Well I decided to open my box which came about 2 weeks ago. I ordered 3 Proof sets. One of the Proof Quarters, Guam, has a pencil eraser stain under the N in UNITED. Another set has the same stain in AMERICA, Guam of course. The third set is fine. I also have a small spider under the plastic on one of the Guam coins with a spot. I'll keep them all as I have first strikes on all the coins. A number of them should make a 69 or 70 if I break them out. The good set has such a strong strike you can count the stars in the flag on the N. Mariana Islands Quarter. I also received a single Innovations Dollar. It looks sharp but I'm not thrilled with the design. Out of the 3 free W Cents, one is perfect, no blemishes of any kind. One has a very small blemish like other threads have shown here on CT, and the third has a ever so slight blemish. That one also has a strike through on the obverse. One of them did have a small amount of very small blisters. Another has one bump that looks like a blister right at Lincoln's Adams Apple. I could not get a photo of either of these. I did manage to get a Galway decent photo of the strike through. It appears just after the TRUST in the motto. Almost shaped like a U with the top of the U being rotated to about 7 or 8 o'clock. In hand it's very obvious butcwith my cell, the lighting I have and the plastic packaging I'm surprised it shows at all. This was the best of all the photos I took. The top photo is the entire obverse. The next one is enlarged enough to see the strike through. All of the haze and scratches are from the Mint's plastic bag. The last photo shows in the best detail I could get of the strike through. It's definitely raised and looks like a piece of a small thread, maybe from polishing. A nice free gift.
I also have all three and sets all looked fine undermag glass but still plastic sleeve contemplating sending pennies out for grading? The silver proof set and penny are absolutely beautiful keep looking and marveling. Seen allot of negative chat re: stains, delamination's etc. best to you nut
I bought a couple of silver mint proof set and got a 2019 w regular proof cent and a reverse proof cent For free. I’ll have to check them out!!
