No, I didn't dig this one. Have yet to dig any odd-denomination US pieces. Test yourself- GTG if you like- then click the link to see if you were right. https://www.pcgs.com/cert/28729754
Your odd denomination is coming soon. You have any digs planned? I have found a lot of these for sale but none that I would buy yet. Hoping to find one myself.
Haven't been out digging in probably two-plus years. I am in pathetic shape from a physical fitness standpoint. Knees are poor and respiratory condition not so great (I get winded very quickly). Still have a detector, though, and were they to suddenly bulldoze some very promising relic site, or if the opportunity arose to hunt certain Victorian house's yards in Old Town, I'd be at it again, though I'd be wheezing and dripping with sweat and using my small shovel for a crutch to help raise myself off the ground. Funny, I've seen multiple two-cent pieces and even the odd 3c piece (both nickel and silver) dug by buddies, on sites we were at. Just never got one. One time at an old ca. 1800 stagecoach inn, I thought for sure I had a silver 3c piece but it turned out to be a 1953 aluminum play money "dime". Another time I thought I'd found the elusive 2c piece when I found a greenish, crusty, concreted coin of about the right diameter on a hotspot of mine. It wasn't, but it was still interesting.
Took a detector out a couple of times in my "yard" (the site of an early 19th century farmstead in New England), but the closest we came to coins was a bunch of brass and copper buttons. Hang in there!
