The six close-up images are useless, but the full coin images make it look like the coin has been dipped in a mild acid. I'm not even sure if the coin is legit. Chris
If that is real...and that is a big "if" for me, it looks like it sat in some sort of acid that pitted the crap out of the surfaces.
I would tell ya but I’d have to kill ya- lol seriously, I don’t want to ruin someone’s reputation (atleast as of now)
I do have alot of coins. Not sure if I’d call myself a collector. My last batch of coins had some questionable coins- Just trying to figure out if I have the million dollar error coin or a fake :/
@Abcrider Ok I'll be brutally honest- If you paid above $12.00 you got suckered. Return it as it's been treated with acid. From what I can see it's a 1878 with 7 tail feathers. Very common. And no, you most certainly do not have a million dollar coin. I'm still laughing at that comment. That is about as brutally honest as I can be and still remain on this forum. Having said that, welcome to CT.
Looks like it might make VF.... reverse for sure looks cleaned though. Im not real strong on the 1878 varieties off the top of my head, but the 8 TF is good. Hopefully others will comment!
It’s crazy the range of coins I received in my last lot! Here is another 8 feather and it looks like the acid dipped one. P.S lol Is my pictures taking getting better?
