This dime caught my attention this afternoon as it seemed different than the others. Can anyone tell me if it came off the press like this or is it damage? 20190405_143442(1).jpg 20190405_143513(1).jpg

Damage- judging by the dents, such an error would never have been caused at the mint.

this may not be how it occurred but think of this .. what if you rolled over a coin while mowing the lawn. That coin would get whipped around the inside and hit many times and dented ... what would a coin like that look like?

Try to think of the multitude of other unlimited methods a coin can get damaged.

First, welcome to the neighborhood @Tabit !

    Let me ask you this.

If you went to a new car dealership and you spotted a car with a big dent in the door, would you assume that it came from the factory like that?

The mint produces coins that look like that all the time.
