I have a 1958 wheat penny on the reverse side it looks like the coin may be damaged but in fact the.coin just did not set correct the lettering looks almost melted but the coin is an error. Does anyone know if this type of error holds value?

pictures are worth a thousand words. Your description is now at 12 - "the.coin just did not set correct the lettering looks almost melted"

You may want to post the entire obverse (front) and reverse (back) pictures, in focus with good lighting. Then we'd better be able to give you a reply.

Otherwise, we'd just be guessing on a 61 year old circulated coin; imagine if I kept driving my car for 61 years and what would happen to it over that time.

That's a good point. My Edsel had a clunk and a clank in 1958. Can you tell me what color it was back then?
Yes rudy, welcome to coin talk. All questions and pics are welcome. Just bring a salt shaker because you'll need to take ever answer with a grain of salt. It helps. Just don't take things too seriously.

    Could be a Lamination issue.
But since I/we see no pictures you can't determine yet if Its an actual error or not.

We need a photo to be sure. It could be any number of things. An error or damaged. Welcome to CT.

I have a 58 Lincoln cent with no b in liberty. Is it valuable?

You should start your own thread and photos would help. However it sounds like a common grease filled Die that's worth face value or a cent more.
