Just got the email. I love the idea, but hate I just can't buy a set from the mint. I really don't want to go bank hopping for new quarter rolls. :sour:

Also, it's the America the Beautiful so there's all 5 variations? If so there's a mintage of ~2m each. Oh fun.

I think it's a pretty neat thing that they are doing. It is definitely sparking some interest and something we haven't seen in a long time!

I am royally confused and need y'all's help. People seem to be suggesting that no one who isn't close to the 12 chosen cities will have much of a chance to see these quarters. Now I am wondering how people who only have small banks will be able to find them. I was hoping to just get UNC rolls from my small bank and have a shot at these... But where do banks get UNC rolls? What about third party rollers like Loomis? I don't know how the distribution works... I was super excited months ago about this, and today I doubt I will even see them. I have no idea if small banks might be able to order boxes from one of those cities, or... I don't know.

It is and will continue to spark interest, but overall somewhat ill conceived. The Willie Wonka's Concept .

The W's are being mixed into bags of new P's and D's in Philly and Denver. Those bags are shipped to the 12 Federal Reserve banks around the country. From there they are distributed to all the commercial banks as they are needed.

So it's all pretty random. In theory, if you see new quarters in your change now you have a chance of seeing a 2019-W

Out of great respect for a fellow member, I have removed the photo.

Following a fruitless search, of course, for something more revolting.

You must not have been searching very hard. But thank you.

Many of our banks move change from branch to branch and seldom order from the Fed so it could be forever before I see any of these.

    Wow!!!

I thought it was 10 million of each rather than 2 million.

I hope I can find one before it's worn down to XF.

Who do you like to have the first strike-first use MS-70 slab? PCGS. NGC, custom Auction House, Custom TV Coin?

  17. Many non collectors will be spreading these out across the US by simply spending them. Most people do not examine their pocket change. TC

How many people actually use quarters outside of towns that still have parking meters, people who don't have laundry machines, and fat Americans who use food vending machines?

I never use change. I own my own washer/dryer, all our parking meters are electronic, and I avoid vending machines. I use my credit card for everything to get points (i.e. discounts).

How will I ever get these quarters?
