Pretty sure this is PMD, is it?

    Meow found this today CRH. Meow is pretty sure this is PMD. Is it? It looks a little too bad to have come from the Mint like this.

    Its almost like someone tried to melt it. From the AR in Dollar going up on the obverse, and from Moder or Moderation right to left. Maybe a wire wheel was used? It has a burnt tone and melted features. It looks almost like die deterioration, but on a grand scale. But yea, it has to be PMD.

    maybe dropped in a camp fire ... you never know. Just learn to identify "damage" versus a real error.
