No no, not worthless. There’s a lot of valuable information on their site!:)
    Imho,
There whole site format needs an upgrade. It should be more like this site. I can respond instantly and upload a photo and information instantly. There are no extra windows that pop up on this site unless you click on a link that someone pasted. It’s almost like a messenger app.

The 25c coins that weigh 4.4 grams are the multi-plated steel planchets. For Canadian 25c, this started in 2001, and there is a little mint mark 'P' on the bottom until 2006, when it was replaced by the RCM mintmark.

The millennium 25c coins are pure nickel, and weigh 5.05 grams (plus or minus mint tolerances).

Actually Bill, it was a circulation coin. The 1999 and 2000 25c coins were struck in Winnipeg for circulation. There was no business strike (circulation) caribou 25c coin issued for either 1999 or 2000.

Nope. All 25-cent coins struck for Canada of pure nickel composition are 5.05 grams. (1968-2001). Note that in 2001, you can find the quarter struck on both nickel (5.05 grams) and multi-ply plated steel (4.4 gram) planchets, the latter bearing the 'P' mintmark.

After 2001, all Canadian 25c coins were struck on the lighter plated steel planchets.

    :)
    Thank you very,interesting.
I will keep a lookout for the 2001 with both weight variations. I wonder if one would be worth more in the future.?

Here are the two 2001 quarters with different weights. The 2001 with a mint Mark weighs less.

It isn't a mint mark, the P stands for Plated and indicates the plated steel composition.
