Sorry, but you may not like what people are going to write. The coins appears to be damaged, scratched and harshly cleaned.

No I don't mind as I need to learn, not looking for the HOLY CRAP YOU HIT THE GOLD MINE, just trying to learn.

Many people here like busties, and hopefully will not be too critical, I, for one, like them.

Cleaned on the top one, and old cleaning on the second one. The second one is borderline acceptable to me but i'm more forgiving than some lol I like the look of it. The top one might be a good filler for an album that you're just looking for good details in.

Even though both of the coins are cleaned, the details are still present.
    Nice acquisitions!

What do I look for so that I know the difference between cleaned and not? Smudges near dates/letters and such, scratch marks, tone/color?

    XF details, and VF-30

The first one has a bright silvery color and has a very glossy appearance. That indicates that it is cleaned.

Both coins have been cleaned. The first one was borderline harshly cleaned. The second one was lightly cleaned some time ago. It's starting to retone. Very nice Bust Coins, especially the second.

So any older coin like that should not be high shine?

okbustchaser I may be old but I still appreciate a pretty bust Supporter

Not real fond of either but the top coin is O-111 which is a solid R-4 die marriage. The rarity premium for it would go towards making up for the damage.

How would one go about even putting a price on a coin like that, since it's cleaned but rare?
