    That is what is known as a Misaligned Die Strike. Common issue.

    Mint error all the same, yes? Yahoo! Would be my first confirmed if so. Not getting anymore pennies up here in Canada from the bank so yeah, yahoo, lol. Thanks for your help.

    The misaligned die is pretty common. So now, all you need is the 1975 nickel & dime as well as the Bicentennial quarter, half dollar & dollar coins for a complete set.

    That would be some kind of a set alright. American coin from the bank or store is sparse up here but it is always saved when found, I’ll keep my eyes peeled and let you in on first bid on the set, lol.

    I don't want them! Misaligned dies are as common as dirt. Besides, using the open forums for solicitation purposes is against the rules.
