I recently opened a roll of Kisatchie non-Proof S-Mint quarters that I purchased awhile back from the US Mint. On the obverse of a couple of the coins it appears the face of Washington below his nose (upper lip, mouth and chin) have a doubling effect. Does anyone have any information regarding this type of effect.
    Thanks

    Without photos, it's probably the
    common effect known as mechanical
    or ejection doubling.

As Fred said and I have seen plenty of this from 100 coin bags.

I have over 40 Saratoga S minted Quarters with the same MD on the profile of Washington. Appears to be common.
