Was wondering if any of you have your favorites displayed ?

I was thinking of buying a small curio cabinet that could display maybe a dozen or so of my favorite coins and/or bills.

My mother has a big hutch that houses her favorite antiques and memorabilia and family heirlooms, but I don't have the space for a hutch. But these curio cabinets I see on Wayfair and Amazon look like they'll meet my need.

The curio cabinet was in the living room next to the entrance to the bedroom wing. The billiard room (25'x40') was on the other end of the house. (NOTE: I don't live there any more.)

That is the beauty of keeping them in the curio cabinet. No dust! It took me 10 years to find just what I needed at Simply Amish, and until that time, all of the shot glasses remained in storage boxes.

I was wondering the same thing. The craftsmanship is awesome. No wonder there is no dusting needed.

It was $1400.00, tax included and delivered about 20 years ago. I should point out that I was originally quoted $1700.00 for it and was told that it would take a few weeks for delivery. I offered the store owner cash in advance if they would accept $1400. Done deal! That's the advantage of talking directly to the owner as opposed to calling or communicating by e-mail.

It's made of solid cherry with two locking doors, separate lights for the upper and lower compartments as well as a mirrored back in each compartment.

It has been a long while since I bought mine. Doesn't the link I provided list prices? I didn't check. Also, did you check to see if there is an outlet near you? It's best to talk to someone in person.

I hope it stays in the family as the years roll by. Something to cherish by heirs.

I am the only one who plays pool, collects coins and was a bartender. And, none of them drank like I did!:hungover:

Word of advice......nothing wrong with displaying your favorite coins/bills, but when a delivery man or a repair man comes in the house definitely cover the cabinet with a bed sheet or towel.
I once displayed my fav coins, and the refrigerator delivery guy set up our new frig he liked the display and took several pics. I had him delete the pics. You never know want what they are thinking about doing with those pics or the fact he knows you have coins.

I wouldn't display money (of any kind) in an area of the house where visitors could see it. A study, office, bedroom or the room in which you have your camera equipment would be best. Then, you could pick and choose who gets to see the display.

To be eligible, you'd have to drink a shot of liquor from every shot glass in two hours:hungover:...nah!...six hours:hungover::hungover:...nah!...ten hours:hungover::hungover::hungover::hungover: or less, and then pass a field sobriety test:dead:.
