Nickel 1942 horizontal D

    My new coin in collection is this nickel. Interesting thing is horizontal D. I like how this coin looks. It's this type of mark error or common for this year?

    The 1942-D over Horizontal D has a very pronounced loop protruding from the flat edge of the D. Your photos are too small to evaluate the coin, but I don't see anything there.

    I think this is more likely to be the standard RPM rather than the D over Horizontal D.

    It's worn but it looks like the D took a hit on the left and top left.
