What can you say, except "Wow, look how reasonable the S/H is!" :D

Yep. seller says a lot as it is ...like

"AND HAVE BEEN WIPED BUT NOT POLISHED"....and the difference is ? It's all down to just exactly how hard they have been wiped.

Numismatically it sounds like they have been dealt a fatal blow.

"THIS COINS HAVE A CATALOG VALUE IN EXCESS OF US$6,350"...presumably that is before they were so benevolently `wiped', because in their current state they don't have anywhere near the stated value.

On the positive side, there appears to be some quite rare coins there. Even in their `wiped' state they should attract reasonable prices. However at $4,500 it is certainly no bargain (IMHO). Even with the rather fancy and novel but unweildy Germanic coin holder thrown in for free.

Why don't I see everyone rushing to snap up that opportunity of a lifetime. Can't at least one sucker...erm I mean serious collector recognize a good deal when fed a reasonable sales pitch? :)

PS sometimes words can flow quite readily.

    Suprise

    This suprises me
This is a local coin shop that does a lot of eBay auctions.
I am disappointd that they would describe coin like this.
It was one of their shop employees that got me started collecting - and he was very specific about the value of a coin.
