When I bought this off of vcoins, it was an even silver color. I took it out to look at it after several months of it sitting in a small coin envelope, and see all kinds of colors appearing. The envelope it was in is the same that the vendor shipped it in. Does this look to be caused by: humidity? the envelope? pre-sale cleaning? Different lighting, not a before & after..
I'm assuming it's in one of those small brown craft envelopes, I believe there's some sulpher content with some of these envelopes and that will cause the coin to tone blue like that. If it's stored in a humid place this will just accelerate the toning.
not sure but that coin is SWEET:kewl: i did read about envelopes doing that to coins though....that might be it... also., where did u keep it?
It was in a small white 2x2 envelope. Just sitting in one of those boxes that will hold a row of 2x2s, inside a cabinet.
