IHC 1886 dot ?

    Dose anyone have any idea about this coin
    It is a 1886 Indian Head cent with a dot above the 8 :confused: Is this a known error?
    All comments welcome.

    That's very interesting. Is there any evidence the dot was added (e.g., a visible joint or solder)?

    I think your on to something. It look's like the dots included in EPLURIBUS UNUM.

    I would like to see a closer picture of the dot.

    I do not see it listed in the Snow book........

    Your pictures are nice sized and all but I really wish you could get them a bit (well, a LOT) clearer. That would help more then anything right now.
