I recently was bored and went through my baggies of coins out of bordem. I was also separating my silver from my clad with my dimes, nickles, and pennies. Then I came across a certain nickle. I looked at the date was was happy to see that it was a 1938. I looked in a little book and saw how many were made and saw that at the Denver mint just over 5 million were made. Hoping for the best, I flipped the nickel over and saw a pretty little D beside Montecello! So I was wondering with only 5 million made how much is it worth? Its in pretty good shape for its age. I know that it cant be worth too too much. 5 million is a lot when you think about it, but I think that 5 million might make it atleast a semi-key? I dont know though.

I would say this coin would grade F-12 making it worth about 70 cents retail.

Thats cool. Thanks. I didnt think that it was worth anything significant. I just wasnt sure how much it was worth being the number minted. Thanks again!
