    Hi i have a 1977 D penny, it is in amazing condition, however really bright gold in color...please help me find some info about it..thanks

    Without pictures I can only assume two (2) options-
    The coin has natural toning, which does not increase its value.
    The con was plated or painted, which also does not increase its value

    If you provide pictures, front and back of the coin, we can provide more information about the coin in question.

    I would use word toning.. Tarnish is more the effect that occurs on silver coins or silver items ;)
