OK, Picked this note up from one of my favorite tellers. She set it aside based on the age, but I immediately noticed the right side of the overprint. Specifically the upper right District Number 7. Technically, it is touching black ink from the obverse design, barely touching a leaf. Would be nice if it was another 1/16 of an inch further so that the lower right serial number was touching Grant's border. My question is, would you guys regard this as a minor overprint shift error, or within BEP specifications (which I've yet to actually see a detailed description)? P.S. Either way, I give the note a low XF and will be putting it in the collection anyway. (ink stain in upper right edge, slightly ragged upper edge, only one medium fold (not crease) down center, small ink/wax/oil?? stain left of fifty at bottom), decent corners,
i would consider it a minor error, yes. and i agree, a wee-bit further to the right would be better lol. nice note!
