Order breakfast yesterday morning and got back this coin, so i question myself could this be like a machine jam error. I went to inspect, seem like all the edged got sanded, but middle part has no trace of sanding.
    1. Both coin weigh the same
    2. Stack coin together to compare the roundness its perfect round, can't see any type of pressing in.
    3. On the red circle on the picture seem they are deform in that has more metal.
    4. It lay flat, I can not see any curving or bent on the coin.

Anyways, just a thought.. i might run in to something here.. hopefully!

Yes, damaged from the coin making machine? but how did it got damaged is the question. I was thinking maybe their machine got jam and this one coin caused all the malfunction. One in a million years this one coin caused a break down this could mean i found history of everything! I can turn around sell this for 1 million dollars and retire early. I am dreaming of the possibility here.

No. It got damaged after it left a mint. It isn't worth anything. It has too many years of bad circulation. Wont be a millionaire for this. Lol.

WHY are you wasting this forum's time?

Do you really think this damage had ANYTHING to do with the mint?

WHERE is the blog's stupid question filter when it should kick in???

I've had plenty like this. I find them along the road when I ride my bicycle. When they are too deformed to use as money, sometimes I will hammer down the rough edges so it will fit in rolls and go through machines without damaging them. It looks as if someone has sanded the OP's coin for a similar reason.
