    Thanks, Collect89. Yes, I do own this Athena tetradrachm. One of my favorites. Need to check link where I have put it in the Ancients section though.

    Wonder if it is because quarters and halfs are too thick to partially break and form mushroom shape.

    They don't fit in rolls & would get rejected or stuck in the roll/counting machines. The folks in the coin counting rooms were able to glean the error coins.
