Other than the damage that I see, what do you think is an error on it ??
it is 52 years old but not "too damaged" to be used as currency.

    No errors on your Cent.
    Just circulation wear and tear.

Please create your Mint Error threads over at the Error Coins forum of CoinTalk.. Not the What's it worth forum.

Welcome to CT Corrina. You will learn a lot on this forum and buying books to increase your knowledge is good. Your cent is just considered PMD, Post Mint Damage, meaning the wear and damage occurred after it left the mint. Worth 1¢.

    coins are made of metal

    Just like your car.

Just remember, as your car gets used, especially for 52 years you can expect a few dents, rust/corrosion, scratches, wear marks, dings up to a few totally destroyed examples.

Keep kicking the tires sis. Those errors are out there. I even found a Monticello doubled die 1939 nickel once. And a few 98 and 2000 wide AM Lincoln cents. I'm still trying to learn. Just takes time
