That's cool. And that Monticello is certainly crisp.

Both 1999's, how cool would it be to put Mint set together using broadstruck brokages?

That surely is possible. I have put together a small collection of 1999 state quarter broadstruck brockages. A total of only 5 coins. Pretty cool when displaying them side-by-side. :cat:

Raw (not slabbed) $30.00 - $50.00 depending on certain factors such as condition, dates, size.
I sent one to NGC in January and I am waiting for it to arrive.

How did that escape the mint? A beauty of an example.

....that's a classic 'mushroom' look on a coin.

Can be found on cents, nickels, and dimes.
Quarters & Halves exist, but are rare like this, imo.

No, those errors got out thru the normal
channels - in mint sewn bags.

Now they use Ballistic Bags, which contain
400,000 cents, as an example. (the old
    canvas bags held 5,000 cents)

    Hello Nathan401,
Often these bagged coins would arrive to counting rooms where the coins would be rolled & distributed. It was common for the odd-shaped coins to become stuck in the counting machine. The smart machine operator would be careful with the jammed coins and not damage them. Unfortunately, there are many odd shaped coins that have plier marks on them from being pried from the counting & rolling machinery.
