    Spock,

Another really nice coin! Can't wait to see the others!

As for the other stuff, at 55 I am having trouble keeping up but it's funny!

Frank, actually these were all purchased a little at a time from a fellow in Alaska.

    Nice Alaskan gold!

I have some but they are from Arizona (bought, not panned).
Also panned some flakes in Idaho.

If you ever get out to SoDak I'll take you up in the hills and we can pan some, maybe find a little color. The Black Hills Gold is not as pure as some and that's why it has the pink/olive tone to it sometimes. Not sure what (besides copper) the other metals are.

Here is a nice sample, verified by a geologist from the SDSMT. I forgot what all he said... but, found it myself near Black Fox campground in the summer of 1990. Right before I had to go to Saudi Arabia.

The olive tone is probably due to the Copper Oxidizing and when combined with Gold, it creates the Olive hues (i.e. blue (the Copper Oxide) and yellow (the Gold), makes green or some variation thereof)!
