My great grandfathers junk box

    I inherited my grandfathers coin collection almost 25 years ago and this junk box was put in my safe and pretty much forgotten. According to my grandpa, his dad had this box as long as he could remember. Our family came from Canada to Niagara Falls, New York. Great grandfather was an engineer on the railroad from 1905 to 1946 and traveled from NY to Cleveland.. He mainly collected large cents but these are mostly world coins. I thought I would share photos of these very worn coins. I will post a few of them at a time. Enjoy!

    Some of these coins are so worn it’s hard to photograph. I’m not sure how many coins that my grandfather added to this. I pulled a fugio out a couple of years ago that in another of my posts. Here are a few more, I just love the history of these worn coins
