Just for fun. What are your predictions, as far as spot price, for silver and gold 20 years and 40 years from now. Remember this is just for fun.

I will just be happy if I am around in 20 yrs, much less 40. :) I can't imagine what the prices will be that far in the future.

20 yrs from now, hmmm... Going out on a limb I'll guess Silver, Ag will be back down to $2.37 and ounce because a new Silver and Sodium AgNa7 alloy/compount will be in use. In 40 years Silver will be at $89.02 because the AgNa7 compound was found to disintegrate into Lead, Pb and be found to cause global cooling. :D

Yes, and then salt will be found to be more precious than gold.

    Buy Salt futures now!

It's just amazing how back in the ages of the Empire of Ghana, and Taghaza in West Africa, gold and silver was not nearly as expensive as salt! Because gold was basically used back then for sculptures and jewelry, the salt came into play traveling across the Sahara! Just a little history lesson for you all!

And that is why I said: Buy Salt futures.

(Salt was used to preserve food for travel.)

I think 20 years from now someone will try and convert silver and gold into petrol, if successfull silver will be over $100 per oz, if a failure silver will be $1.37 and gold $3.50, but people won't care because the can't drive to get any.

Silver hits $1,000 and Gold $30,000 in 2023. That same year, China will start issuing silver as official currency and Russia will start issuing gold. Before 2028, we will start using the dollar for fire kindling and only the Chinese and Russian hard currency will be accepted as payment.

And with silver at $1000 per oz, a silver dollar will be the size of a half dime!! And the smallest gold coin will be a $ 1000 coin, but thats alright becase thats what it will cost for a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread.

Silver and Sodium compound? AgNa7? Note that the 107Ag isotope becomes Palladium or is it Cadmium?
In reality soon enough an Alchemist will turn Aluminum into both Gold and Silver. Gold and Silver will then be used to produce autos since these metals can easily be undented. It will soon be found that Aluminum cans produce metallic thinking people so those cans too will be made of Lead. This way there will not be enough Lead for China to produce toys and US companies will again make toys for our kids. Platinum again will still rain supreme with Gillett for razor blades. Lead was preferred but way to soft.
