There is too much luster left on this dollar to grade it AU. There is a rim nick at 1k on the obverse that would lower it to AU for some. The weakness on the eagle’s breast feathers is normal for this date. There are fully struck 1904 dollars, but that is unusual.
No, cleaned begins with hairlines, which result when metal is moved around with a polishing device. Absent of those, cleaned can mean polished, which can show microscopic hairlines. The photos are a bit overexposed, which the “cleaned” determination an indefinite call. It might be cleaned, but it could also be natural mint luster Revised to say that the second set of pictures make this piece look like it has been polished.
With the lack of feathers on the breast I would be in the XF camp as well. Most cleaned coins, if done poorly, will have minor scratching when viewed with a loupe.
One thing is for certain Morgan Dollars will grab you and hold on for years! They have had me and my money for years and years and, after building a complete collection, other than the 1895 Proof I foolishly sold them. So now I am building another collection. Absolutely love them.
Dont worry about cleaning on a $20 coin. One day silver spot will be 30 or 40 dollars or more and the bullion value will far exceed whatever small numismatic premium you paid for it initially.
