I am not sure if this is an actualt error or if this is how the new president dollars are minted. I know when you hold a coin an then flip it head to toe the other side should be upside down. Well I got two jefferson dollars today the then you hold it so your looking at jefferson then flip them head to toe lady liberty is no upside down but standing straight up and down. any insite on this would be great

Actually, all American coins are minted so when you flip them on their horizontal axis (or "head to toe") they are right side up. If you flipped it right to left and the back wasn't upside down...then you'd have something. This is called "coin alignment."

Every US coin ever minted is as you describe. (Yes, there are exceptions: errors and some patterns). The top of the obverse is at the same end of the coin as the bottom of the reverse. That is called "coin turn".

Canadian coins are minted with a "medal turn" and the top of the obverse and the reverse are at the same end of the coin.
