Congrats ominus 1 , nice set ! Here's mine: Dont think Commodus belongs in a good emperor set Clavdivs He belongs in another set:
Congratulations on completing your set ominus1. I'm still on the look out for a nice denarius coin of Aelius. And then i'll go on with completing the set in bronze, and then further my set of Hadrian travel series, and then .... and then ... and so on and so on! To many nice coins to collect!
@Andres2 I see... I am surprised that you did not mention the other obvious "problem" with the set I displayed: -Lucius Aelius wasn't even an Emporer!!! My goal in this set was to tell the story of this wonderful era .. including the unfortunate Aelius and by including Commodus we see the end of this age and the beginning of another. We all collect in our own ways ... I don't think anyone's set is incorrect - just their own interpretation.
Thanks. I realize it's a different way of going about it - just one denarius in there and mostly provincial coins, but hey - it counts!
One of the best and so far unique busts (laureate draped and cuirassed)of Antoninus Pius. RIC 703 var Frans
