I came across this quarter recently and was wondering if it had any value considering there were errors on both sides. Is this coin worth anything?
People do this kind of thing on purpose al the time. This is tame compared some of the coins I have seen.
Some can be accidental if caught in a rotating machine, but most are because someone had too much time on their hands.
grinded in the middle on one side and the edges on the other side. Is this another possible type of example of a commercial laundry dryer when it goes past the lint trap and get grinded down between the internal spinning drum and the outer drum. (not enough space to spoon it, just spin & grind it).
Just ground [past tense of grind] down. It really does make you wonder why so many coins end up like this.
