I've got this 1960 Phili nickel which has a super shiny gleam to it and almost silvery tinge. I just got done reading an article on how all three mints made proof nickels in 1960, nit sure how true that is, and saw a gentleman clainiclto have a 90% silver nickel from 1960 (no mark) and that really sounded outlandish. Any ideas. It also appears to be Triple struck and even having 4 strikes but I can't zoom in that close to show. Shiny?.. Cleaned with a metal polish!
Worn Die might give it an appearance of multiple strikes.. But that's not what you have.

Without addressing any specific issues raised, and in light of the fact that you cannot apparently take close in shots, but you DO have the coin in-hand . . . you might want to take a look at 1960 DDO-012, PR-12-O-II-C. Some parts don't look like a Proof, but on the other hand . . . Good Luck.

A friend is a McDonald's manager, he counts the drawers at the end of the shift and someone came in and paid part of there order with 11 of these, all identical as far as tone and condition go .I was able to make a trade for one of them but that wasnt easy. I just found a video on YouTube with a guy discussing the same year and mint nickel which according to the gentleman in the video the coin had 4X strik and sold for $41,000, but like you said which knows, I wouldn't know where to verify that YouTube Fact. :cyclops:

    No they look better.

Not true at ALL! Philadelphia was the only mint that made proofs in 1960.
