It is a Lincoln Memorial cent minted in Denver in 1962. It was minted alongside about 1,793,148,000 of it's brethren.
Looks like machine doubling to me, but, I'm not entirely sure. Let's see what @paddyman98 has to say.
Amber That's me as well. Die deterioration. Furryfrog was trying to tell you by using mintages. Those dies were rode hard and put away wet! Keep searching hon..... they are out there waiting for you to discover.
Amber Another did bit about 1960 coinage was some of the highest numbers ever were minted.I paid off a car loan with nickels as I had purchased rolls and rolls searching for full step nickels. I had rolls of 1964's that the Monticello didn't have a porch more less then steps. I do believe the goverment knew when they planned to mint in clad rather then silver people would hoard coins. And by mid 1966 very little silver did you get in change.
