Lol it made me laugh. The cap was found next to a tree so someone sat down by a tree and had a beer one day. And then I found a wrench.
If it's a Craftsman maybe you can exchange it for a free new one. Just tell them the chrome plating did not hold up.
I think you should send the wrench into PCGS and have it slabbed, Shrews. Tell them it's a shipwreck find...should make it a lot more valuable. Bruce
I have my Grandfather's tools hanging as a big display here in my shop. There is about 30 of those double box end wrenches. Those wrenches worked well on old school cars and tractors. Not so much today lol.
No problem to me but what does this have to do with coins? Wrenches were never used as money as far as I know.
I am surprised that nobody sees the history here. That is obviously a distributor wrench. Fellow was setting the dwell on his hemi Cuda then sat down to have a beer and celebrate his finely tuned hemi. Great find!
Unlike a Long Island Iced Tea which contains all of the white liquors, an Arizona Iced Tea contains lizards, snakes and roadrunners. Chris
Probably not a distributor wrench, especially if it was a Chevy. These are part of my collection from my Grandfather's days running a full service Conoco back in the 60s and 70s. You could use these on anything back in those days. Not on the new stuff of today though.
