Linseed?! ಠ_ಠ

    Should it be used on a coin?
    Oofta! Didn't know if I'd make it all the way over here.....but what a journey...four books soon to be released about my journey to making a new thread. DUECES

    I answered this question in your other thread, as did others. No, don't use linseed oil. Don't use RenWax either.

    I agree with TIF. Do not seal the coins.

    Linseed oil contains acids that will cause damage over time. When I used to play baseball (many years agoduring the last century) our coach told us not to oil our gloves with linseed oil for that reason.

    Linseed or olive oil - it is applied on extremely crusty coins. It will take away the corrosion after some years, but the coins will be ruined forever and sorely pitted. BTW you will never get the residue of the oil out!
