I found this coin several years ago in Jerusalem. I thought it was a Herod Antipas coin but I can’t seem to identify it. Can any of you guys help. THANKS TERRY
It's a prutah, a small bronze coin struck in Jerusalem. This one was struck during Nero's reign. The procurator for Judaea at that time was Porcius Festus. If your next question is "what is it worth", you can compare yours to the 100+ currently for sale on Vcoins.
Nice pickup of the Prutah in Jerusalem @TERRY LONG ! I understand the 10th Great-Grandson of the good Procurator was the ever-famous UNCLE FESTER! (Anglicized name). He later went on to make Video Games... (Itsa true story TIF!)
