I guess Rome didn't see much profit in invading Eire - so no real need for the good people of Hibernia to mint coins as payola to the Roman overlords....... edited

A few coins of Green to start off a great day. Both of my parents are Irish and moved the day of their marriage...from Dublin to Toronto, Canada in 1964... my brother was born in '65, me in '69 and the little sister in '74... I will post some Green coins ... please add some green or even better some Celts.. it's our day!!!

If you'd like to read about how the Irish Monks saved Western Culture throughout the Dark Ages - preserving the Greek and Roman history we now enjoy, please read this fantastic book - a great people that put the preservation of knowledge ahead of all else:

I'm an absolute mutt, but I do have some Irish in me! Ancestry.com was able to trace it to the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry. Family lore is that my Irish ancestors came from County Kerry, so that's no surprise.

    YES!!!!!
I love green bean salad/ also Viennese Creamed Spinach.
    The latter is mouthwatering....
Cook down 6 packages leafy spinach, put in blender, puree.
Add 7 tablespoons bacon lard, bring to light boil, add 1 teaspoon flour, wisk gently, add 1 cup 18% table cream, stirring gently, add nutmeg/mace/ MAGGI.
Fold in pureed spinach, ready to eat, good with Rabbit. Goose/ Duck/ Rouladen/ Roast Beef:cat:
