I was going through my dimes looking for anything that might be worth submitting. I found a nice Roosevelt so I scoped it and noticed all these marks. I’m hoping it’s not cleaned.
I actually remember pulling this out of a history of dimes set. Still doesn’t mean it wasn’t cleaned :/
It doesn't look cleaned and it's not worth submitting. It's a normal circulated silver dime, 1958 minted in Philadelphia. The obverse is showing signs of dark toning on the outer edges.
I like the look of the coin. The magnified obverse pic in your OP looks like flow lines from the minting process, not cleaning. The reverse has me a bit puzzled.
Any dime worth submitting would have to be a very high grade. The obverse of your first dime shows signs of die deterioration. Chris
