I haven't been abubble to find another example of this anywhere. Its definitely not damage. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is it valuable? What should I do with it? Any help would be appreciated. Note: this is NOT a "cheerios" dollar. Having trouble uploading image, but I'm working on it...
Welcome to CoinTalk @CraftedbrWeirdos Can you please post a photograph of both sides of your coin? As a matter of fact, this morning (technically, yesterday morning, now) when I went to the dentist, I found a Sacagawea dollar 2000 P. She does not have a mole on her chin but she does appear cross-eyed. I have not taken a photograph of the coin yet because she will appear in this weeks FOG (Found on Ground) Finds. I did not have such a coin yet in my collection so I was happy to find her. If your coin has a mole on her chin and it is not dirt or crud or chewing gum or the like, it might be metal deposited there as a result of a die chip.
@CraftedbrWeirdos - If you are having difficulty with any specific part of the photo posting process, please let us know. We love to laugh and poke a little fun, be we also truly love to help others and look at their coins. But in a nutshell, You take the best photo you can on your device or camera and save it to whatever device you are using to look at CoinTalk. The process is pretty much the same if you are using a desktop with windows or an iPad. But I have never used a smart phone. I'm thinking it must be the same. Please position your photographs so that the head of the image on the coin is pointing up. That way, those of us using desk tops don't have to crane our necks. After you take the clearest well lit photo you can of BOTH sides of your coin, crop out the extraneous space around your coin. That will allow us to get in close to your coin as we look at it. Then save your cropped photographs to the device you are going to use to post your photographs to CoinTalk. Come to this thread again and press "upload a file" and then "choose a file." You will be able to go to where your photographs are saved. Select one photograph at a time and then double click on the one you want to upload first. Then when you see it below your text or below where you WILL write text, click on "FULL IMAGE" and that will insert the large image into the text message box. Then do the same thing with the photograph of the other side of your coin. Then you have a chance to add some text above or below your images if you like. You can also "preview" what your post will look like when it is published. When you are satisfied, just click on publish or whatever the option is. Hope that helps. If not, please ask. Sincerely, LaC
