The second '2' is slightly weaker, but it might just be a plain 1922-D, the reverse should tell more. Jim
Most likely just a normal 1922 D. Need the reverse to tell. This website can help. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/1922Ddievarieties.html
Just a normal 1922 D. Gotta remember, there were a lot of poorly stuck wheats through the 1920s, especially at the branch mints Denver and San Francisco. It is more common than you think to see weak mintmarks for whatever reason on wheat cents through this period. However, this does not appear to be one of the three die pairs that did infact strike the so called weak D. So basically we can say that your coin could be a slightly filled die or just circulation wear, or a combination of both. But not a true weak D. Hope this helps.
There's so much wear, you need better photos. Even 60 years ago people were removing the D. Right now it's difficult to say because of condition. Better clear and crisp photos might help.
I can see at least remnants of a D, but the wear may have much more to do with it. Try this page http://www.lincolncentresource.com/1922Ddievarieties.html
