Hey everyone, first post here. My wife and I got an old coin from her grandmother, and we have no idea what it is. It's very worn, and I am a total novice when it comes to coins anyway, so we are lost. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

    Drusus Pecunia non olet

I THINK it might be a coin of the Emperor Honorius...

AD. D N HONORIVS P F AVG, pearl diademed, draped & curiassed bust right / VIRTVS EXERCITI, emperor standing front, holding spear & resting hand on shield, with head turned right while Victory crowns him with wreath

Its hard to say, cant see the mint mark, inscriptions are hard to see.

I would say Drusus has pegged it.

A roman imperial coin of Honorius, around 400 AD

Value about $5 or less in it's condition.

Still a nice piece of history in your hand!

Honorius ruled 394-423, so it has to be within those years. Can you make out any of the letters at the bottom on the reverse? With those, we can tell the mint and the years minted.

Thanks for the info so far guys. I can't make out the date code on the bottom of the coin, but here's a closer view for anyone who wants to guess.
