Can't find any listing so I would venture to guess it to not be doubled die. But at the same time I am finding it very difficult to distinguish the difference. And there are professionals on here. Didn't want to toss it without being sure, thanks.
It's die deterioration doubling. All of those parallel striations pointing toward the rim are a sign of die deterioration. Chris
What Chris said. For the most part DDD and MD is all that you will find on clad dimes. Spending your time searching for conditional rarity's would be more beneficial.
Visually remove the "doubling" and you'll notice the devices are smaller than normal. Classic giveaway!
I just dont know. I look at known examples and alot of times see nothing.short of the 1955 ddo cent i really struggle. No matter how much i read. I mist just be stupid. Maybe some day i will actually find a dd and it will jump out at me . Idk bit thank you for feedback.
