i was wondering if anyone could give me an idea about this coin. The reverse looks like a descent unc. coin with some minor wood grain. The best I can describe the observe is it looks like a lot of orange peal affect where the high points are brown and the rest is the bright yellow I have seen on wood grain coins. Is this natural or man made? If man made, how?

I'd have to say that coin's been harshly cleaned. The light and dark spots are a result of the cleaning.

Hard to say if it is natural or not. If it were done by some one you can do this with sulpher to a certain level with enough practice. I don't see why you would want to though seeing as the coin would be worth more in Red then Red brown.
