Both sides of this coin has different type of ruffles. See this is what it reminds me of is a ruffle potato chip.

My next question is: how do you know it is authentic? What is to keep someone from taking coins from circulation and bending them up and selling them? Just curious if there is a way to be sure they are legit.

 

The hands just don't match the face. Have thought it for a long time.
