Best U.S. Eagle representation?

    I'd simply taken it one step further along that same line of thinking. Hope and well being/optimism always follow periods of conflict, especially when you've soundly licked those (enemies) who would rise up against your Nation...

    Eagle

    The Walker looks like the strong "Raptor " our country represents.
    The Illinois coin of 1918 has one of the best pictures engraved of Lincoln I have seen.

    the platinum's eagle looks kind of hairy, like chewbacca.

    Great image grouping, the standing lib's eagle is clearly notable for its realistic flight portrayal.

    My favorite for now is my CT half's stylized eagle, the angularity is strangely attractive.

    The eagles on the bottom row are from commemorative half dollars. The one on the left is from the Bridgeport Centennial half (which has PT Barnum on the obverse) and the one on the right is from the Connecticut Tercentennial half. Art deco was in full swing when those coins were designed.

    To me, the reverse if the Ike dollar has a nice eagle. Landing on the Moon....
