    Not at all imo
These are considerably common. To keep them protected just stick them in a flip and if you are extra worried, a airtite capsule.

    Hi there,
Your coins are nice..... but they should not be graded because they are only worth 3 - 4 dollars a piece and grading can cost up to 100 dollars.....

For a coin to be a candidate for grading (submission), doing so must add something of value to it, be it increased liquidity, independently verified authenticity and/or everything in between as well as be worth at least equal to the price of admission.

The fact is that the majority of coins presently residing in plastic have no business being there even when perfectly collectible on their own merits.

At 16 you're a kid but you think otherwise. I was once your age and I thought the same as you. When you're older and a father then and only then will you understand the difference.

It's good to proud that you're a solid 16. There are many 16 year olds out there who are not so solid.

My advice would be to not get them graded. With the current value of your coins, it just isn't worth it.

Mona, it looks like you use staples to seal your 2x2 cardboard holders.

    That's okay.

But I suggest you flatten the staples with pliers. Otherwise, you might accidentally scratch an adjacent coin -- especially when you take 'em out of a storage box.

@mona willhite you might want to get the Kennedy graded. I can't really see the pic that well because it is blurry. It looks like the designer's initials are missing from the reverse. The CPG shows a variety for missing designer initials. The coin you are showing looks really mushy on the reverse like it may have been polished. The picture is blurry. Can you get a better pic of the reverse?
