i scored a package deal last week of 1 peace dollar, 46 roosevelt dimes, 1 55D BU dime, 1 41 mercury dime, a walker and couple roll of mixed cents (old canadian, wheats and memorials in various grades from G to BU) for 80 bucks. and i got a silver certificate as well. i also scored 3 dollars face in silver coins tonight, a peace dollar, 2 walkers, and 10 mercury and roosevelt dimes. total cost, 38 bucks. since silver is still moving up i think i got a good deal, especially since it all came with free shipping. im also getting a couple buffalo nickels and indian head cents since they come with the silver. those are practically gimmes at the price i paid. anyway i think i did well.
i also got a franklin with the package from last week. i totally forgot that but i dont know how. and a 41 AU mercury dime.
now i have some pics. im only showing the silver since the rest is too much to go through.... first the halves the peace dollar the BU 55D the AU41 and another 41. then the roll of dimes...46 total. they're almost enough to make a set since they cover 47-64 and cover P D and S mints.
Was that on e-bay? I've been watching the past couple of days and AG/G silver coins are selling like crazy - at 14-16 face. Maybe turn around and make a few dollars - especially if the coins aren't to fill holes.....
what is in the pics wasnt from ebay. what i bought last night IS from ebay. the listing was a peace dollar, a walker, and 10 dimes, a couple buffalo nickels and a couple indian head cents. 32 bucks for it all BIN, free shipping. i couldnt say no. then i bought another walker off the same seller, 6.50, free shipping. again, i couldnt say no. he has another lot up similar to the one i bought last night but has 16 dimes, a peace dollar, a walker and a couple buffalo nickels (partial dates, he's up front about it) and a couple indian head cents. he wants 38 for it. with the way silver is going it might be worth it. i bought it up last night just to have more silver. i have an obsession about silver coins. its the clinking sound they make i think. i love the heft of the silver dollar, the jingling of dimes and quarters. so i buy all the culls an low grades i can get my hands on that my wallet can afford.
