OK, I was thinking it would be fun to buy straps of $1 bills and go through them. Since I work at a bank, it would be easy to do and I don't think anyone I work with would get annoyed with me (they are very tolerant and helpful with my hobby). I could buy one, go through it for a couple days and then take it back and get another one. So, outside of star notes...what should I be looking for. I know there were web notes in the 1988A series (although I'm slightly unsure how to ID them...I can figure that out with my book...if I find any 1988As). I would also hang onto any older bills, radars, low numbers. But, else what should I be looking for?

Thats what it sounds like, but I'm only going to have it another 6 months. So, I need to be using this resource as long as I have it.
Oh, and there's a $1 with the back plate number on the left instead of the right but I can't recall what its called.
Ideally, you would find brand new errors, not just known errors. Look at the first and last note in every brand new strap that goes through your hands. Check everything, =serial numbers match =plate numbers in correct location, size, etc... =alignment errors =inking errors =etc... Often, errors will affect much more than one note. Finding a brand new strap with something like mismatch serial number on top, you will probably have 100 notes with a mismatched serial number (which would be quite the windfall). If you find a full strap of brand new star notes, call around to dealers to see if they are paying a premium for such. Could be a quick profit if you can't afford to collect the entire strap. Also, check out the mutilated piles in the other teller's drawers (and in the vault if you have a cooperative vault teller). That's where all the oddball stuff usually ends up.
