1943 Steel penny error date

    Grease filled die issue caused the 4 not to form properly..
    And your Steel Cent has been re-plated or re-processed.
    It's not valuable at all.

    They give certificates of authenticity for Re-processed steel Cents. That means absolutely nothing.
    I have been collecting coins for 34 years, I have seen dozens like yours.
    It is just a novelty item Cent.

    Greaser and replated. Not original condition. It's known as a reprocessed coin. Welcome to CT.

    Tony, if the edge is shiny like the top or bottom , it was re-plated. If it is rusty or dull flat grey in the middle, it is the normal steel center and not reprocessed. Jim
