Hard to tell from the pics, but should be safe bet somewhere between au58 and ms62.

I'm at AU something but the spot kills the coin.

It’s cool to find a fresh cent in your change almost sixty years old. It would grade well as an AU (almost Uncirculated) grade. Assuming you found the cent in circulation, just bear in mind that once circulated, it is always circulated. It’s a nice keeper but circulated it is a face value cent.

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

There's a lot of wear on the head (hair & ear details) and dings that knock it down to a VF IMHO. And that's without seeing the reverse.

Well struck, good color, and a keeper, but not worth sending in for grading.

That is so, unless you need a specific date to complete a collection. Then it's whatever you have to pay a seller that has the one you want. I paid $1.80 for a nice, shiny 1962 quarter the other day.

Thanks ya'll, I wasn't sure as I ain't been collecting for couple years now. I'll post the back of it in just a few. Big thanks again to everyone for the help so far. It's a lot to learn but the hunt is awesome.
