I'm trying to figure out if this medallion has any value. There is a small chip on
the rim of it, as seen in the photo. This was a gift from my father to my mother in 1977,
and it has been stored and unused ever since. I threw away the box and literature
    it came with. :(

Is it uncirculated? Not sure what that means.

And I can't identify the two little symbols on the rim (in the last photo).

A jeweler told me "F.S" doesn't mean fine silver. Is that right?

Any feedback will be most welcome! Thanks.

I would think FS means Fine Silver. The first small Hallmarks is for the Franklin Mint, it is an f with an m on it . the second one would denote the year.
To bad about the box and paperwork, it would have told you how much it weighs.
And help protect it from fingerprints.
Yes, it is in Uncirculated condition, which mean it has never been used as money.
It's value is in the Silver content.

Thank you, alurid! So if I get it weighed, will that tell me what it's worth?
